Belief can be divided into many kinds. There is a kind of belief will not change with the historical environment and will exist forever. That is religion. But now we have connected everything with material benefits in the real world, since, in this peaceful era, belief seems to loose its direction and supersede by all the material benefits. First, we ask belief for materiality, and then spirit. It is true that belief can bring to the believers material benefits, in many ways. Shaolin Temple is a sacred land for the Buddists. As far as I know, burning incense here cost from 600 to 60,000. And how many people come to here to ask for getting rich? This sacred land is on the verge of becoming a stock market. But mutual benefit does exist.
Some get benefit unconsciously when insisting on their belief, and others find the treasure hiding behind the belief. Both get something from which they believed in.
